Gentleness Means To Be Humble

What does it mean to be gentle? To most people, it is to be tender, mild-mannered, and soft-hearted. The original Greek and Hebrew words used in the Bible to be gentleness means humility and meekness. Ang layo no? Gentleness is a natural trait of a humble and meek person. Today, the world teaches us to build self-confidence and not be subject to anyone, not even to God. Kasi sabi nila, meekness is a show of weakness. It is not! For me, humility as the absence of arrogance that comes from recognizing that everything I have and am is from the Lord. He has blessed me so I can be a blessing to others! And God made me who I am to help others be who God wants them to be. Because of these, I have no reason to be proud. Who will listen to our messages if we are not gentle but arrogant?
