The Idol Inside You

Are you afraid of idols made of wood and stones? Do you feel they have the power to influence you, kaya you stay away from them? These idols have no power over you because they are inanimate objects. But there is a type of idol that we need to be afraid of; they are not made of wood and stone but are idols of our own making. This idol is inside you. I realize that when we do not accept God as a whole, but only in part, we make a god of our liking. This hybrid god is not the God who created the heavens and the earth. The book of Hosea refers to them as sacred pillars, and they were things God hated. He even destroyed the Jews because of them. I hope you will take the time to listen to this audio message so that we will not fall into the same pit the Jews did.
