We Do Not Need To Read The Whole Bible, Ha? Bakit!

I recently stumbled on an article entitled, “We Do Not Need To Read The Whole Bible!” While the author gave some valid reasons, my personal experience says that it is dangerous not to read the Bible as a whole. Someone told me in the past that the Old Testament is not necessary anymore because the New Testament is enough to explain Jesus. And in the New Testament, the most important parts are the four gospels because they talked about Jesus. If this is true, then how will we understand the teachings of Jesus correctly? In Matthew 5, Jesus said He came to fulfill the laws Moses gave and not abolish them. How can we fulfill these laws in our lives if we do not know them? When we do not know what the Old Testament teaches, we will misinterpret many of the things Jesus taught because He would often refer to the Law and the Prophets. When we misinterpret them, we will deprive ourselves of His blessings because of our ignorance.
