When You Love Yourself Only

The world will say that if we want people to love us, we should love ourselves first. Because,  according to them, you cannot love others if you do not love yourself. Do you like loving people who are full of themselves, those who are more concerned about themselves than others? Most of us don’t.  The Bible teaches something different. Philippians 2 tells us to make others more important than ourselves. If you do this, won’t people take advantage of you? That is not true. If you consider others as important than yourself, others will make you important also. Do you want to truly be loved, do to others what you them to do to you. If you are kind to them they will be kind to you. If you are loving to them they will be loving as well.
