Dodong Cacanando Podcast: Insights from the Garden

You Were Called For A Righteous Purpose

12 Nov 2020

Description

In Isaiah 42:6, the Lord said He will hold us by the hand and watch over us so that we can accomplish His righteous purpose. When you read about this idea, what comes to your mind? The best picture to describe the concept is Psalm 23. In Psalm 23, God promises to lead us, guide us, and make us lie down in green pasture so that we will never be in want. He promised to comfort us when we are in the valley of the shadow of death and dine with us when we are in front of our enemies. Do you like to picture that Psalm 23 paints? I do! But as I looked into Psalm 23 closely, I cannot help but ask, why am I in the valley of the shadow of death and before my enemies? If My Shepherd will lead me and guide me, how did I end up there? Why would God lead me into such terrible situations? I am learning that when God holds us by the hand and watches over us, He will bring us to where we should be and not where we want to be. He does this to grow us and make us strong so that we may accomplish His righteous purpose. Sana, you will enjoy the attached audio message. May it help you understand the good purpose God is trying to achieve even when He lets you go through a storm, just like this pandemic.
