The Bible uses the “cup” to symbolize the lot that God wants to us accept, which is our portion in His kingdom. The Hebrew word for cup is kos. It is a container of something to drink, but it also means a reward; this is why trophies take the form of a cup. From this definition, I learned that when God gives us a cup to drink, He is giving us a responsibility and a reward. The cup that God gave Jesus led to His death. While Jesus loves the One who gave him the cup, He did not like what was inside it. When He was in the garden of Gethsemane, He pleaded so hard for His Father to take away the cup that He started to sweat blood. But why did Jesus accept the cup despite the suffering that came with it? Do you think you can do what He did? God has set aside a cup for each of us to drink, which represents our responsibility and reward. While it will be a good cup, it is not always pleasant. It may force us to die to ourselves and to our plans. But why should we drink it despite the sacrifices that we may have to make? I hope that I can encourage you to accept the cup God wants you to drink in this audio message. While it may contain some things you do not like, it will also lead you to the best life you can ever live. Happy listening and God bless you!
