Show notes Mourning Dove Medical Presents Dr. G at the Heart of Healthcare Kevin Tutunijan, Administrator In the Arms of Grace Hospice -Owner-operator and administrator of a hospice agency in the Atwater Village neighborhood of Los Angeles, founded in 2011. Mission-Educate & Empower in three parts, helping listeners ‘SEE’ what’s needed to navigate the healthcare system. 1. Story (theme) Dr. G met Kevin at City of Hope Interdisciplinary End of Life Symposium, where they discussed advocating in Washington D.C. as a part of the California delegation for Hospice Action Week 2024 (HAW 2024) June 10th-13th. When Kevin’s Grandmother suffered a health decline, this became the impetus for a new hospice agency. By serendipity, the first Joint Commission survey was the day after she died. Years later it was a full circle moment when In the Arms of Grace cared for his other Grandmother. 2. Educate -Teaching points ☑️Clinicians need great ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT to provide needed REGULATORY COMPLIANCE with Medicare Hospice Benefit, and Conditions of Participation CoPs. ☑️ We don’t shy away from the business side of hospice care.
