Life with Autism

Autism is a disorder that has mystified the medical and mental health community alike. There is no real understanding of how it manifests, but this consuming disorder becomes the person. The lives of families who exist with this disorder are also consumed and forced to adapt to over-stimulation, temper tantrums, schedules, arguing and continuous exacting rituals that must be followed. Forget empathy and compassion from an autistic person. Though they look normal, they are incapable of so many things we expect from normal. Listen in as I try to help us all understand and identify autistic along with helping the people who support them!
