In comparison, the same period in 2024 saw a similar rise of just over 52,000 people. The emirate recorded its fastest annual population increase since 2018 last year. The consistent influx is largely driven by the UAE's strong appeal to foreign professionals, millionaires, and a growing affluent expat base. Analysts attribute this to factors like a dynamic labor market, long-term residency options, and world-class infrastructure. These demographic trends are fueling economic growth across key sectors including real estate, retail, food and beverage, tourism, and hospitality.Emirates NBD Research, in its Global Investment Outlook 2025, emphasized that the UAE's expanding working-age population is a key driver of its non-oil economic growth. The report noted that Dubaiโ€™s GDP grew 3.1% in the first nine months of 2024, reaching Dh339 billion, up from Dh329 billion during the same period in 2023.As the population continues to expand, Dubai is poised for continued prosperity, supported by rising consumer demand and sustained economic momentum.
