Dulcinea Day 4 (English) Love yourself like nobody ever will....

I want to remind you that this space is created specially for you and if you would like to talk about a specific poem or poet please leave a comment and or send me your inquiries at: [email protected] With all the fuzz going around these past days about the big prize of MegaMillions, worth 1.34 billion; the questions flashed through our minds about what would we do with such amount of money?, well obviously after the taxes that uncle Sam would slash from your prize, but hey 433 millions after tax is still an awesome amount of money. When someone asked me what I would do, if I won the lotto?  I answered that I would offer at least 100 homeless people $150K ONLY IF they went ahead and learned a trade to survive on their own and never go back to live on the streets,(so roughly $15,000,000 would be gone the first year right?)  To what my friend said Dulcinea!!!! That’s crazy, homeless people are happy where they are, otherwise they would do something to get out of the situation they are in. Hear me out Tom I said: Did I mention that I would pay for their tuition and also pay their lease, transportation and meals for a full year??? (that’s roughly another $4,800,000 in housing plus another $4,000,000 for transportation, groceries and personal hygiene at about $1,600 per/month p/individual) but that’s not all, because I would also pay for their tuition, and any good trade program to become a certified electrician, carpenter, HVAC tech or Certified Nurse Assistant will cost anything around $40,000 to $50,0000 depending on the certification field, let’s add another $5,000,000 at this point I already spent $29 to 30,000,000.00 at giving opportunities to people who will grab the bull by the horns and re-shape their future. He said but why would you do that, Dulcinea??? Because you asked!!!! I said.No, he asked me again why would you help people who don’t want to help themselves? This time I grabbed him by the shoulders and answered: Because I was homeless once. And someone helped me. I was able to obtain a GED at age 27 because life was hard for me growing up besides I also did my fair share of bad choices. I decided to party instead of working towards my high school diploma, that mistake landed me an awesome job flipping burgers at a fast food place, where I used to hang out with the wrong crowd and one thing led to another, sure enough I ended up doing wrong things, and while I am not proud to say it, it was my own self trying to live a life that was not going to take me to any professional success, could I have done things differently? Maybe, I don’t know, I can’t blame the people I was with, because nobody forced me to do the things I did, according to me I was just having fun. How did I get out of it? Someone offered me help, and when this person asked me Do you want to end up in a ditch OD, or do you want to do something good with your life? Of course I choose LIFE!!!
