Dyslexia Explored

#13 "Dyslexic Advantage" Ch 1. Book review Journey Begins! DxA #1 Chapter 1.

19 Oct 2018

Description

"The Dyslexic Advantage" is one of the most highly recommended books on dyslexia for good reason. The team and I are going to go on a journey where we read it, map it, review it and draw out practical applications chapter by chapter, incorporating your questions and comments too. It's a treasure trove of 26 chapters packed with helpful info for parents and tutors. I’m recording this for people to listen on the go via our podcast. “Dyslexia Explored”. This is Chapter 1. My Favorite quote of the chapter: “Unlike most books on dyslexia this book (The Dyslexic Advantage) won’t focus solely on making individuals with dyslexia into better readers. Instead, it will focus on helping them become better at “being dyslexic”. “ (P xvii) I hope to be able to do one Chapter each week. The format will be: 1. Summary of the chapter (3 min) 2. Favorite quotes (5 min) 3. Expand a theme or two (5 min) 4. Reflect on what I've learnt and experienced from the chapter. 5. Practical applications for parents and tutors of teens. The book reference if you want to buy it is: "The Dyslexic Advantage. Dr Brock L. Eide & Dr Fernette F. Eide." Dyslexic advantage website: https://www.dyslexicadvantage.org/ Get ivvi notes now: https://ivvi.dev/ Dyslexia productivity coaching?: http://dyslexiaproductivitycoaching.com/ Dyslexia Quiz: https://bulletmapacademy.com/dyslexia-quiz/Bulletmap Academy: https://bulletmapacademy.comHow to Mindmap: https://www.bulletmapacademy.com/courses  Ai and Mindmapping Training: https://www.ivvi.app/ai-mindmapping Interested in being a guest?
