Fresh Food and Feminism with Riana Lynn

01 Feb 2021

Description

Riana Lynn grew up in Chicago and, partway through graduate school, got interested in bringing more raw foods to her area. She had gotten into more general entrepreneurship in college, but healthy food is particularly important to her because a number of her family members suffer from chronic illnesses, which are much less common in regions where fresh and healthy food is the norm. She has founded many food-related companies since then, the most recent--and current--one being Journey Foods. Today, Riana joins us to talk about her journey to Journey. She discusses her experience as a serial entrepreneur and what she’s learned from it. She takes us through the three pillars of the mission of Journey Foods. She tells us about some surprising characteristics she looks for in a new hire. She notes the twofold role of organization and communication in a successful business. She talks about the importance of making the early relationships in a company good ones, and she discusses the future of women in technology and entrepreneurship. “Great companies are built around good culture.” This week on SocialFly’s Entreprenista Podcast: Riana’s personal story and how it led her to where she is todayWhat to look for in a new hireThe importance of creativity in an employeeThe importance of organization and communicationTop tips for aspiring entrepreneursThe crucial role of early relationships in a companyThe future of women in technology and entrepreneurship Connect with Riana Journey Foods WebsiteJourney Foods InstagramJourney Foods TwitterJourney Foods FacebookRiana's InstagramRiana's TwitterRiana's Facebook Say “Hello!” To DigiCards™ Are you ready to take your virtual team meetings to the next level?
