Equestrian Perspective

47. How Waiting Allowed Nicole's Horse To Become Way More Curious & Open Up After Years As A Riding School Horse

02 Dec 2021

Description

If you own a shutdown horse, struggle to connect with your horse or feel anxious around them then you must listen to this episode! I chat with Nicole Warwick who is a recent graduate of my Confident Equestrian Program (CEP). She joined the program because she was struggling with her horse, Captain. He is in his 20's and has spent most of his life as a riding school horse and Nicole really wanted to connect with him on a deeper level. However, traditional methods weren't working for her and she ended up feeling unsafe around him which caused her to seek out alternative methods which led her to clicker training and to join CEP. Initially, she joined with a focus on helping her horse but soon realised that it was her mindset that needed to have the biggest change and oh my goodness did she gain some amazing lessons.  Her horse is now so much more curious, he is much braver and he is showing a side of himself that quite possible no one has seen in the past. He has really taught Nicole the power of waiting and surrendering to the process.  I just think it's the coolest thing ever to be able to change a horses life like that and whilst doing so changing your own life for the better in the process.  So sit back, listen and enjoy! If you would like some support on your journey then I would love to help you. Message me on Instagram @felicitydavies_ www.confidentequestrianprogram.com/CEP Or book a call with me and let's chat!
