The Philosophy and Wine Styles of Jurgen Gouws - INTELLEGO WINES

A zoom chat with Jurgen Gouws of Intellego Wines. Specialising in Swartland Chenin Blanc and Syrah (although Cinsaut, Mourvedre and Viognier are also used), Jurgen is one of only a handful of people making natural wines in South Africa. We don't really talk about each wine specifically, it was more of a chat about his philosophies, approaches, and opinions. We also chat about the wine he makes for us, a "semi-carbonically macerated" pinotage. We love Jurgen's wines, and think he is a little bit of a genius. I hope you enjoy our chat. NB.
