Reece, a freelance filmmaker, is hired as a gaffer for a documentary exploring psychics and energy vortexes in Sedona, Arizona — a topic he has little to no personal interest or experience in. During filming, Banah, a local vortex tour guide, leads the crew up a small hill for a brief meditation, where Reece is unexpectedly met by an otherworldy spirit. This episode is sponsored by 5-Hour Energy. 5-Hour Energy has a new flavor out. It's called Spicy Cinco de Mango. Yes, a spicy 5-Hour Energy shot, and it's only available at 5hourenergy.com. They just sent me a case of this stuff to try. I popped open a bottle, gave it a little taste test. It is legitimately spicy, also a little sweet, but mainly spicy, which is a very unique flavor palette.
When it comes to 5-Hour Energies, I'd say by far the most unique flavor they have put out. And I consider myself to be a connoisseur. I already was a 5-Hour Energy connoisseur before, but now I have a ton of it in my office thanks to the fine folks at 5-Hour Energy. So I'm set for a while. Honestly...
I have at least 750 hours worth of energy on my shelf right now if you added up all these bottles. So get energized and spicy. 5-Hour Energy Spicy Cinco de Mango Shot is here for you. 5-Hour Energy Spicy Cinco de Mango is only available online for a limited time. Head to 5hourenergy.com to get yours today. Welcome to Otherworld. I'm your host, Jack Wagner.
This episode takes place in a town that's very near and dear to my heart, Sedona, Arizona. If you're not familiar, Sedona is home to some of the most beautiful landscapes in the entire United States, as far as I'm concerned. But it's also a town famous for spirituality and heady culture that attracts a lot of tourists.
There are plenty of places where you could get any type of psychic reading you could ever imagine, or buy some unusual New Age CDs, or perhaps a tie-dye t-shirt featuring the Kokopelli. But whether or not you're a believer in the variety of things that draw people to Sedona... It's undeniable that the area itself has a strong energy to it. Almost a dreamlike electric feeling in the air.
The person you're about to hear from did not go to Sedona for spiritual reasons. They actually went for work. His name is Reese. He is a freelance gaffer in the film industry of Los Angeles. And he got called on to a job filming a project out in Sedona. And he went in blind, not knowing much at all. He was there to work. But of course, he ended up having a rather unusual experience.
I will let him explain that for himself. This is episode 121. The title is The Vortex, and you're listening to Otherworld. Otherworld. Hello? Is this Bobby? Yes, it is. At its core, the science, you can't argue with. A story about all the science. Up in the sky.
It's almost frustrating that it's happening. I'm going to die. His limbs were just like, wrong.
Everybody moves back into the light, even if it takes them a minute.
