(00:00-25:10) – The Fan Midday Show opens on a Wednesday with Greg Rakestraw taking over. After previewing the lack of sports for this point on the sports calendar, Greg runs through the list of guests for the show today. He then talks about the MLB All-Star game and how the Reds are starting to pull him back into the sport.   (25:11-39:24) – Television Play-by-Play Voice of the Indianapolis Pacers, Chris Denari, joins the show to talk about what has caught his eye in the NBA summer league. Is Benedict Mathurin a starter for the Blue and Gold or is he going to be a player with an attack mindset off the bench? Chris has seen plenty of Obi Toppin and Bruce Brown over the last few years playing against the Pacers, what does he think about what they can do for this squad? What can we expect from the team from a transactional standpoint over the rest of the offseason?  (39:25-49:25) - Greg closes hour one with his ties to Pascal Siakam and more.  (49:26-1:12:33) – Lori Lindsey, a former women’s soccer national team player and Pike high school graduate joins the show to talk about the women’s world cup coming up in Austrailia and New Zealand. Is there still a giant gap between the US and everybody else like in years past? What is the outlook for the top ranked United States team this year? Which country is most on the USWNT’s radar coming up? Then, Lori describes what the roster looks like and talks about the depth of the team. Finally, where does Megan Rapinoe’s legacy sit among the all-time women soccer players in the US?  Greg lets Lori go but continues the topic of women's soccer with an update on the Indy Eleven Women’s soccer team.  (1:12:33-1:27:53) – The afternoon drive host for the Cincinnati ESPN Radio affiliate 1530 AM Mo Egger joins the Midday show to talk about all of the successful teams in the Cincy area. Greg calls Egger the JMV of Cincinnati and begins the conversation with Reds talk as the NL Central leading team is going scorched Earth over the last couple of months. Will the Reds be buyers at the deadline as they try to make a run at the playoffs? Egger believes that they should make some big time moves to bolster the pitching staff but warns fans that this will come at a hefty price. Then, the conversation shifts to the city’s highly successful MLS team with FC Cincinnati.  (1:27:54-1:40:23) – The one o’clock hour concludes with Greg talking about the NBA summer league action and interacting with the listeners. Is there any chance that Paul George comes back to the Pacers?  (1:40:24-1:56:20) – Kevin Lee, host of Trackside on 93.5/107.5 The Fan, calls in to talk about the Motorsports scene right now. Should NASCAR and IndyCar utilize more city street tracks moving forward? They then talk about Alex Palou and the incredible season that the 10 team is having right now. Is there any scenario where the IndyCar championship is close going into September? Where will Palou be driving next year with the Formula 1 rumors running rampant?  (1:56:21-2:15:24) – Greg opens the phone lines to interact with the listeners and talk about all things Indy sports. High School Football? College Football? Baseball All-Star Game? All of this and more with Rakestraw.  (2:15:25-2:30:10) – Greg closes out the final hour of the show with listener interaction- including an agreement to play pickleball with a caller.Support the show: https://1075thefan.com/query-and-company/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
