31 Jul 2023
(00:00-31:05) – The Fan Midday Show opens on a Monday with Brian Noe welcoming Jimmy Cook back from vacation. Eventually they start discussing the saga that is becoming Jonathan Taylor and his trade request, look at who would even trade for JT with all the questions regarding his health between the report of back soreness and his ankle surgery recovery, and debate what the Colts should do. (31:05-43:16) – Brian proposes a question to Jimmy regarding who the Jonathan Taylor drama impacts the most. They discuss how much of an impact it would have on Anthony Richardson if JT does not suit up this season for the Colts. (43:16-51:15) – Brian and Eddie round out the first hour of the show by listing their top three Colts with the most to prove. With the number of players that have something to prove, Eddie and Brian had one player in their top three. (51:15-1:19:33) – Colts reporter Joel Erickson of the Indianapolis Star joins the Fan Midday Show with Brian Noe and Jimmy Cook to share his opinion on who is to blame where things are for the Colts and Jonathan Taylor, where he thinks this situation ends up, if he anticipates Taylor to be out there week one for the Indianapolis Colts, and how much an affect it would have on the offense if he’s not out there. (1:16:01-1:31:15) – Brian, Jimmy, and Eddie continue talking about Jim Irsay’s tweet regarding the running back position and getting paid because there are some disagreements on the reason why Irsay and Taylor met on his bus. Additionally, Eddie brings up a point that this all dates back to JT’s decision on who his new agent is. (1:31:15-1:38:32) – The one o’clock hour concludes with Brian and Jimmy discussing the news of Anthony Richardson undergoing nose surgery. (1:38:32-2:08:26) – Charles McDonald of Yahoo Sports joins Brian Noe and Jimmy Cook on the Fan Midday Show to provide his thoughts on Jim Irsay’s tweet not helping the Jonathan Taylor situation, if $16M annually would be an overpay for a running back in today’s NFL, what kind of return would the Colts seek in order to trade JT, and explains why the players association should be receiving more blame for the way RB’s are being devalued after adding an extra game. (2:08:26-2:22:42) – Former NFL player Geoff Schwartz joins the Fan Midday Show to weigh in on the Jonathan Taylor situation, if the players association should be blamed at all for not negotiating the abolishment of the franchise tag, debates if JT has a way out other than playing for the Colts, and the difference in trade requests in the NFL compared to NBA. (2:22:42-2:21:00) – Monday’s show ends with Brian highlighting a bad argument for NFL running backs to be paid. Plus, Brian asks Jimmy for the JCook Plays of the Day and Eddie gives his best bets!Support the show: https://1075thefan.com/query-and-company/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
