(00:00-27:39) – The Fan Midday Show opens on a Tuesday by playing off of Dan Orlovksy’s comment this morning on Get Up on the running back position, discuss why they have a hard time believing a team will splurge on the RB position again, and this could really impact Jonathan Taylor’s contract negotiation with him entering his final season of his rookie contract. (27:39-41:22) – Jesse Rogers of ESPN joins the Fan Midday Show with Brian Noe and Jimmy Cook to compare which team has had a more disappointing season thus far between the White Sox and Cubs, which players he could see being traded at the deadline from both Chicago teams, what’s led to the disappointing season for Tim Anderson with the White Sox, and whether the Chicago baseball teams would trade with one another if Shohei Ohtani was on one of the teams. (41:22-50:09) – Brian, Jimmy, and producer Eddie Garrison close out the first hour of the show by discussing the future of Shohei Ohtani with the Angels. They get into a debate as to how much it would cost a team to trade for Ohtani and if a team would trade for him as a rental or if there must be agreement on a long-term extension for the trade to happen. (50:09-1:18:19) – Hour number two starts off with Brian quizzing Eddie on which teams have yet to finish last in their division since 2010 to show how important it is for teams to have continuity with the quarterback position. Additionally, Jimmy and Brian go over the top ten quarterback rankings that ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler put together by polling NFL executives. (1:18:19-1:30:52) – Brian brings Eddie into the fold to share his opinion on the list of top ten quarterbacks in the NFL according to NFL executives. Later, Brian and Jimmy debate which rookie quarterback could be included within the honorable mention category.          (1:30:52-1:39:24) – The one o’clock hour concludes with Brian, Jimmy, and Eddie voicing their opinion on the format of the Home Run Derby, if they would watch a derby featuring baseball legends, and discussing the way they brush their teeth. (1:39:24-2:10:35) – The Dean, Mike Chappell, of CBS4/FOX59 joins Brian Noe and Jimmy Cook on the Fan Midday Show to compare the situation Jonathan Taylor with Saquon Barkley, how the players approving the franchise tag is hurting running backs more than any other position, what kind of framework of a contract he thinks JT should get, and how surprised he is with the way Taylor has operated the last couple months regarding his contract negotiations. (2:10:35-2:24:04) – Brian becomes the agent for all running backs by trying to go to bat for them to get their money. He starts it out by disproving something that Austin Ekeler stated on Twitter. Jimmy ponders the idea of what running backs would be paid if there wasn’t a salary cap because he believes it wouldn’t change anything with teams paying that position.
