Description

(00:00-29:12) – The Fan Midday Show opens on a Friday with Brian Noe and Jimmy Cook examining the movement in odds for which quarterback could go first overall in the draft, how that could potentially change who is available for the Colts with their fourth overall pick, and compare this year’s draft to last year’s where it seems that media could be hyping up the quarterbacks too much. (29:12-45:52) – Vegas recently revealed season win totals for the NFL, so Brian, Jimmy, and producer Eddie Garrison share their thoughts on the lines listed for the teams in the AFC South.   (45:52-48:20) – Hour one concludes with Brian and Jimmy loving the potential story lines this season with the AFC South and NFC South facing one another this season because of the Colts, Texans, and Panthers all in prime position to draft a quarterback. (48:20-1:19:21) – One half of Kevin & Query in Kevin Bowen joins Brian and Jimmy on the Fan Midday Show to weigh in on the conversation of the Houston Texans not selecting a quarterback at two if Bryce Young is unavailable, revisit the comment made by DeForest Buckner about the Colts not being in a rebuild in his eyes, how he feels like supporting the quarterback is something that fans, media, and analysts don’t talk about enough, and how he doesn’t have Bennedict Mathurin conviction for any of the second tier quarterbacks. (1:19:21-1:29:15) – Jimmy and Brian come back from break by debating which team the top quarterback prospects would want to go to out of the top five teams in the draft. They highlight each of the weapons the quarterback would have. (1:29:15-1:39:42) – The one o’clock hour concludes with Brian and Jimmy discussing the news of the Dallas Mavericks being fined $750,000 for resting players at the end of the season to improve their draft position. Brian shares the difference between NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and NBA Commissioner Adam Silver. (1:39:42-2:07:56) – Eric Froton of NBC Sports joins Brian and Jimmy on the Fan Midday Show to give his perspective on Will Levis vs Anthony Richardson, if there is a legit concern for C.J. Stroud to be going from the top talent at Ohio State to lesser talent with whatever NFL team drafts him, goes through some of the value that he sees right now in betting the NFL Draft, and how he attacks sports books during the college football season.   (2:07:56-2:20:18) – Odell Beckham Jr. made his first appearance to the Baltimore Ravens media and made a pitch towards Lamar Jackson. Brian and Jimmy discuss the money that OBJ received from the Ravens and if that would have an impact on Lamar’s desire to get the contract he wants from Baltimore. (2:20:18-2:27:17) – The final segment of the show is spent with Brian and Jimmy breaking down the future odds to win the NBA Finals. Plus, Jimmy shares his JCook Plays of the Day along with Eddie sharing a bet he likes tonight.Support the show: https://1075thefan.com/query-and-company/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
