02 Jun 2023
(00:00-28:23) – The Fan Midday Show opens on a Friday with Jimmy Cook and Brian Noe recapping the first game of the NBA Finals last night between the Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets. They debate whether Miami will be able to make it a six or seven game series after the way they were dominated last night. (28:23-43:03) – We come back from break with Brian Noe creating a game for all members of the show to partake in. The game involves the rookie quarterbacks and predicting how many games Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud, Anthony Richardson, and Will Levis will each individually start. (43:03-53:49) – Brian, Jimmy, and Eddie put a bow on the first hour of the show by discussing the comment made by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver regarding the suspension of Ja Morant. They also guess how many games Silver has suspended Morant for. (53:49-1:17:52) – JJ Stankevitz of Colts.com joins the Fan Midday Show with Brian Noe and Jimmy Cook to weigh in on how likely it is that Anthony Richardson will start week one for the Indianapolis Colts, why there isn’t a correlation between OTA participation and week one participation when it comes to rookies, and debates which decision will be more challenging between who will be the starting three wide receivers and who the starting tight ends will be. (1:17:52-1:30:23) – We come back from break with Brian Noe questioning the scheduling of primetime games during week one of the college football season. Producer Eddie Garrison chimes in with a couple of the Big Ten games that will be on Peacock/NBC to start the season. Jimmy weighs in on the topic as well. (1:30:23-1:38:06) – The one o’clock hour concludes with Brian revisiting the story of a lady’s car getting hit by Kyle Kirkwood’s tire at the Indy 500 because Penske Entertainment announced that they’ll get her a new one. This leads to Brian questioning Jimmy and Eddie if they have ever named their car. (1:38:06-2:05:17) – Tony East from Locked On Pacers, Sports Illustrated, and Forbes Sports joins Brian and Jimmy on The Fan to discuss his Rocket League ranking, his break down of last night’s game between the Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets, if Boston would be more frustrated with Miami getting swept of Miami winning the finals, debates whether the Denver Nuggets are now the blue print for smaller market teams to potentially win a championship, and what it would cost the Pacers to move up in order to get Brandon Miller. (2:05:17-2:16:31) – Jimmy and James shift the topic of conversation back to the NFL with the focus being on the reported investigation the competition committee will be doing on hip-drop tackles after Patrick Mahomes and Tony Pollard’s injuries the last two seasons. (2:16:31-2:29:37) – We close out this week’s show with Brian highlighting what one of the most useless awards someone could have. Additionally, Brian asks for the JCook Plays of the Day and Eddie to share a couple plays he likes tonight!Support the show: https://1075thefan.com/query-and-company/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
