25 May 2023
(00:00-25:51) – The Fan Midday Show opens on a Thursday with Brian Noe and Jimmy Cook discussing how Jimmy didn’t say hi to Brian prior to the start of the show, what they expect to see from the Boston Celtics tonight in game five after winning game four, and Jimmy shares a JCook Play of the Day because he’s that confident in the bet and doesn’t want the line to change. (25:51-32:54) – Brian and Jimmy shift their conversation from the NBA to the NFL because of the news a couple days ago pertaining to flex scheduling for Thursday Night Football. They examine the games during weeks that the NFL could flex games in connection with the Colts opponents during that time. (32:54-44:04) – Team Penske driver Josef Newgarden joins the Fan Midday Show with Brian Noe and Jimmy Cook to highlight what his choice of milk is if it he won the Indianapolis 500, what he’s learned from his first Indy 500 race to now, his opinion on the 100 Days to Indy docuseries on the CW, how he’s feeling going into the race this weekend, and why fans should hitch their wagon to the Newgarden band wagon to win the race. (44:04-1:06:42) – Radio Coordinator and In-Game Studio Host Casey Vallier of the Colts Radio Network joins Brian and Jimmy on program this afternoon to highlight what he’s monitoring during Colts OTA’s outside of Anthony Richardson, how he’s evaluating the incoming rookie class in comparison to previous classes, the depth that Chris Ballard has created in the tight end room, and what kind of milk he would drink if he won the Indianapolis 500. (1:06:42-1:16:28) – Earlier in the show Jimmy teased his opinion on the NFL approving the request to flex games to Thursday Night Football because he thinks that Brian will agree with one of his two thoughts. It leads them down to a rabbit hole of discussing how far out they schedule vacations, trips, etc. when it involves a flight. (1:16:28-1:24:58) – The one o’clock hour concludes with Brian and Jimmy discussing LeBron’s comment about the uncertainty of his future because it shifts the conversation away from the Denver Nuggets advancing to the NBA Finals. Additionally, they touch on the cryptic Instagram story posts by Ja Morant that required a wellness check. (1:24:58-1:47:43) – The final hour of the show starts with Brian, Jimmy, and producer Eddie Garrison discuss the rule that the NFL is trying out this season with returners being able to fair catch a ball inside their own 25-yard line and it be treated as a touchback. The NFL labels it as a rule to help lower injuries on kick-off returns…but is that why they want the rule in place? Additionally, they discuss the Brock Purdy rule that was instituted and the NBA looking into a flop penalty. (1:47:43-2:00:11) – Conor Daly of Ed Carpenter Racing joins Brian Noe and Jimmy Cook on the Fan Midday Show to explain what the team works on during their final practice session prior to the race on Carb Day, if he has developed any retaliation from the bead gate last year where Alexander Rossi and Sage Karam filled his hot tub with Orbeez, if he has to do anything special as a type one diabetic, and how much support he receives each year from fans during the Indy 500 because of being from Noblesville. (2:00:11-2:05:10) – We close out today’s show with Brian playing some audio from the Hurricanes manager after last night’s game and the JCook Plays of the Day and Eddie sharing one bet that he has in tonight’s Celtics/Heat game.Support the show: https://1075thefan.com/query-and-company/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
