(00:00-31:48) – The Fan Midday Show opens on a Thursday with Jimmy Cook and James Boyd highlighting the comment made by Saquon Barkley on the Money Matters Podcast, debate if Jonathan Taylor will even get extended prior to the start of the season, and how both sides can approach the situation. (31:48-45:35) – Jimmy, James, and producer Eddie Garrison shift the Colts contract extension discussion from Jonathan Taylor to Michael Pittman Jr. because the way Pittman approaches his negotiations could be impacted by Taylor’s. They debate how much money annually they would be willing to pay Pitt. (45:35-48:42) – Jimmy and James close out the first hour of the show by discussing how the wide receiver position contract negotiations and contracts are steadier in comparison to the running back position. (50:09-1:16:31) – Hour number two starts off with NBA National reporter Mike Vorkunov of The Athletic joining James Boyd and Jimmy Cook to highlight his latest piece in The Athletic regarding the Indiana Pacers offseason because he really likes what they’ve done, accesses how Jarace Walker performed in Summer League in Las Vegas, how important a step forward for Bennedict Mathurin this season will be for the future of the Pacers franchise, and takes a look at some teams in the Eastern Conference that he likes to make a jump. (1:16:31-1:33:43) – Another colleague of James Boyd’s in Tashan Reed of The Athletic joins the Fan Midday Show to discuss the scenario that Josh Jacobs is in right now with Las Vegas Raiders, what kind of season he’s expecting the Raiders to have with Jimmy G reunited with Josh McDaniels, and accesses how Garoppolo fits in with the way the offensive line in Vegas performed last season. (1:33:43-1:39:04) – The one o’clock hour concludes with James and Jimmy looking towards the future of the running back position because the current NFL CBA doesn’t expire until 2029. (1:39:04-2:03:37) – Jimmy, James, and Eddie kick off the final hour of the show by debating if there is a running back currently in the NFL that could break through and receive a big contract extension. Then they transition into whether Jonathan Taylor helps the development of Anthony Richardson. (2:03:37-2:18:46) – Earlier this morning the Colts released an alternative uniform that they’ll wear this season and in future season. James, Jimmy, and Eddie share their opinion on the uniforms including which team the uniforms look like. (2:18:46-2:24:49) – We close out today’s show with the JCook Plays of the Day and Eddie sharing a couple MLB plays he likes for tonight!Support the show: https://1075thefan.com/query-and-company/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
