Jimmy Cook & Brian Noe compare Anthony Richardson to the other AFC QBs, Kevin Bowen gives his thoughts on the Colts rookie class, Brooks Kubena updates us on the Texans post-NFL Draft

(00:00-25:57) – The Fan Midday Show opens on a Thursday with Brian Noe and Jimmy Cook discussing the comments made by Grover Stewart yesterday regarding the team selecting Anthony Richardson and then transition into ranking the quarterbacks by division as to which division has the best and worst group of starting quarterbacks.    (25:57-43:37) – As we become more removed with the 2023 NFL Draft, mock drafts for the 2024 draft are starting to come out and today’s mock draft that Brian discovers is ESPN’s Todd McShay’s. His was different than Dane Brugler’s mock draft that we discussed yesterday. Brian, Jimmy, and producer Eddie Garrison all have different thoughts on how the Colts would approach next year’s draft.   (43:37-47:51) – Hour one concludes with Brian and Jimmy discussing the disastrous performance of the Philadelphia 76ers in the return of Joel Embiid and how the Celtics were able to dominate with their best player being on the court for less than twenty minutes. (47:51-1:13:06) – The Houston Chronicle’s Brooks Kubena joins Brian Noe and Jimmy Cook on the Fan Midday Show today to share his perspective on what happened in the final days leading up to the NFL Draft that led to the Texans drafting C.J. Stroud, why the Texans were willing to part ways with their own first round pick next year compared to the Cleveland Browns, and if there is any debate whether Stroud of Davis Mills will be under center week one for the Texans. (1:17:29-1:28:12) – Brian and Jimmy continue discussing rookie quarterbacks, but they take a broader perspective where fans immediately compare rookie quarterbacks to rookie quarterbacks instead of comparing them to quarterbacks in the entire NFL. Eddie then brings up a point as to when fans and media start comparing rookie quarterback performances to other rookie quarterbacks.     (1:28:12-1:33:09) – The one o’clock hour concludes with Brian and Jimmy trying to make sense of the ratings from the Super Bowl being changed to being the most viewed Super Bowl in the history of the NFL. (1:33:09-2:04:48) – One half of Kevin & Query in Kevin Bowen joins the Fan Midday Show with Brian and Jimmy to explain what was going through his mind last week when Chris Ballard went on a rant about people leaking information to break down young men, how soon it’ll be before Jim Irsay starts talking about Marvin Harrison Jr. coming to Indianapolis, and he shares his thoughts on which division has the worst groupings of starting quarterbacks. (2:04:48-2:11:17) – Brian and Jimmy come back from break and give away a pair of tickets for a listener to go to the GMR Grand Prix by answering a little Star Wars trivia! (2:11:17-2:17:06) – The final segment of the show is spent with Brian and Jimmy discussing game two tonight between the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers.
