(00:00-27:06) – The Fan Midday Show opens on a Monday with Greg Rakestraw recapping the sports weekend with Brian Harman capturing the Open Championship, Josef Newgarden sweeping the races at Iowa Speedway and the events surrounding the races, Jasper High School graduate Scott Rolen being inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame, and the Cincinnati Reds winning five straight games ahead of a three-game series with the Milwaukee Brewers. (27:06-40:48) – Greg Rakestraw spends this segment of the show talking about the Indianapolis Colts by highlighting some of the storylines that he will be monitoring closely during training camp because he heard the hesitation in Joel Erickson’s voice this morning on Kevin & Query regarding Shaq Leonard. He also discussed the cornerback position, wide receivers, and tight ends. (40:48-47:48) – Rake closes out the first hour of the program by touching on Twitter being changed to “The X” now and starts warning Colts fan about the type of football they could see with Anthony Richardson starting because of his lack of experience at the position coupled with how raw of a quarterback he is.
