01 Aug 2023
(00:00-26:29) – The Fan Midday Show opens on a Tuesday with Brian Noe and Jimmy Cook having a conversation with Colts tight end Mo Alie-Cox. Their conversation starts with what song Mo would pick to play during practice, what kind of head coach Shane Steichen is when he talks, what it’s like competing with several other tight ends for the top spot on the depth chart, and which aspects of Anthony Richardson’s game has stood out to him the most so far in training camp. Following their conversation, they start focusing on Anthony Richardson after listening to what Mo had to say about him because Brian wonders if he will get the start week one this season and next season to end the streak of different week one starters at eight for the Colts. (26:29-41:53) – Following the way the everything played out with Saquon Barkley, Brian and Jimmy debate if Taylor would sit out the entire season to try and break through to receive the contract he feels like he desires. (41:53-53:59) – Brian and Jimmy round out the first hour of the show by continuing the Jonathan Taylor conversation by examining the destinations for Jonathan Taylor if the Colts were to trade him. (53:59-1:18:48) – Last week Brian and Eddie tried to predict seven new playoff teams in the NFL this season and removed seven playoff teams from last year because that’s a trend since playoff expansion. Brian asks Jimmy to list his seven teams for each category and provide an explanation as to why he chose the teams he did. (1:18:48-1:31:43) – Following their playoff conversation, Brian shifts the conversation to how nearsighted fans get with their team. He questions Jimmy on teams that could bounce back and play closer to how they performed in 2021. (1:31:43-1:41:44) – The one o’clock hour concludes with Brian, Jimmy, and Eddie continuing a conversation they had yesterday on the impact of running backs when it comes to winning Super Bowls. This conversation was sparked by a tweet/xeet from a listener yesterday. (1:41:44-2:06:33) – The Dean, Mike Chappell, of CBS4/FOX59 joins the Fan Midday Show with Brian Noe and Jimmy Cook to share his thoughts on Taylor saying he isn’t dealing with a back injury, how Jim Irsay hasn’t helped in trying to repair the relationship with JT, explains how the agent has changed Jonathan Taylor’s viewpoint on playing on the final year of his contract, and breaks down the journalistic reporting from his source on Taylor’s back pain. (2:06:33-2:22:37) – Former NFL player Geoff Schwartz joins the Fan Midday Show to weigh in on the Jonathan Taylor situation, if the players association should be blamed at all for not negotiating the abolishment of the franchise tag, debates if JT has a way out other than playing for the Colts, and the difference in trade requests in the NFL compared to NBA. (2:22:37-2:29:55) – Today’s show ends with Brian asking Jimmy and Eddie for their plays of the day on MLB Trade Deadline day!Support the show: https://1075thefan.com/query-and-company/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
