What is up, Task Force? This is Trevor once again with another preview of this week's Movie Club. Of course, we had to do it to you. We watched the classic Jason X. It was a crappy good time. I gotta be honest with you. We had a great time covering this one. So enjoy the preview of this week's episode and check it out over at redwebpod.com. Our journey begins at Crystal Lake Research Facility.
Did you know that the camp had a research lab? Dude, that's the first thing I said. Research facility? Oh, yeah.
Come on. Already?
And Jason Voorhees is chained up. He seems to be awaiting a cryogenic suspension. God only knows how they got him in the first place. And despite treating him like a lab rat, they do give him his dignity by letting him keep his hockey mask on before some lab technician dude calls him ugly and throws a blanket over his head. We know things are about to go south quick.
We cut to the head doctor who's storming into the place, Dr. Wimmer. He's rolling in with his armed associates, and he's here for Jason, an unfrozen, soft Jason. Not, you know, cryogenic or whatever.
I must say, I must say, only good part of the movie, David Cronenberg as this dude.
As Dr. Wimmer? Mm-hmm. What else is he from?
He's like the director of, like, Scanners, The Fly, The Brood.
Oh, wow.
