Hey, true crime besties. Welcome back to an all new episode of Serialistly. Hello, hello, hello! Welcome back to an all-new episode of Serialously with me, Annie Elise, Headline Highlights Edition. Now, I hope you guys all had a fantastic Thanksgiving, if you do celebrate that.
I know it's like a week after the fact, but I just want to say I hope you guys all had a really nice long weekend, that you had a nice holiday, that you were able to eat a lot, celebrate a lot, drink a lot, if that's your thing. I'm I know it is mine. And anyway, I just hope you guys all had, you know, time to recharge and reset. I can't believe this year is almost over.

Brian Koberger, the girl who was charged with drunk driving and hitting the newlywed couple on the golf cart and killing her. And again, like I said, new cases we have really got a lot to go over. So let me start with this case that is coming out of Columbia, okay? because this truly does feel like a Lifetime movie, like with a happy ending though.
So a teenager escaped after being held captive by a school bus driver for 12 years. This means that she was only seven years old when she was initially taken. This school bus driver allegedly kidnapped her, then sexually assaulted her, and then brainwashed her into thinking that everything that was happening was just completely normal.
