Kofi joins us to discuss his beloved Pistons, and then we will do some trivia. With me, as always, is my good friend Alex Spears. And now we're going to talk Clippers first. The Clippers are currently minus 400 to win the series against the Nuggets, or plus 310. I thought this would be a little bit better matchup than it has so far, but the Clippers seem to have the advantage. And to talk about the team that has the advantage, it's my good friend Law Murray from The Athletic. Law, what's up?
You know, the blowouts are harder than the close games. I'm just going to say that without context. Good morning, guys. Good morning.
Glad you're here. Thursday night was the first playoff game at the Intuit Dome. As someone who's covered this team for several seasons, how did the playoff atmosphere at Intuit compare to past seasons?
Shout out to David Adelman, I guess. He warmed the crowd up, and I'm not sure they needed it. But when you get called out in any way, shape, form, or fashion by the opposition... you know, the onus is on you to back it up, come through. And I thought the fans were great. Both high profile fans, great visibility fans, as well as the people who had to take an elevator to get to their seats.
You know what I'm saying? I thought that building was locked in. And then their basketball team, was locked in as well. This was the second game in a row where it looked like the Nuggets had the advantage with both team starters out on the floor. And I'm telling you, man, I mean, it was a quick turnaround from up seven to down seven.
That's where Denver found themselves in the second half of the first quarter. And it was a route from there. Like, the Clippers... You know, I think the Clippers are actually just above average offensively. But to hold that Denver team under 90 that they did. I mean, again, the Clippers were no sloshes defensively. They were a top five defense all year. But the Nuggets were a top five offense.
