Not very often that we start the show off with a guest, but this is about as close as we're going to get to an emergency podcast without a trade or a coach getting fired. And it's because the Lakers just stink right now. They lost yet another game. They're two and six in their last eight.

drubbing beat i mean embarrassing was the buzzword of the night uh so the lakers are they're completely spiraling right now as you just said they start the season 10 and 4 and for most of that stretch they were in the top four in the west they were one of the surprises of the season uh jj reddick's getting coaching uh you know coach of the year buzz ad's getting some buzz for like not quite mvp but at least in like yeah
back of the ballot conversation well he was self-proclaimed defensive player he's talking about himself as defensive player of the year like but but you could do that when you're winning uh since then that's right and really the biggest thing has been the increase in competition if you look at a lot of the wins that they had early in the season they were beating up on uh the jazz the spurs the pelican the mash unit of the pelicans they got the wizards really
