Radiology and imaging techniques in pregnancy are reviewed such as x-rays, CT scans and MRIs.  Find out when it is safe to get imaging done in prengnacy.    The United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommend that routine X-rays and other diagnostic procedures be avoided during pregnancy primarily because if it can be delayed, that is advisable. However, they state that imaging studies are sometimes unavoidable and some may be medically necessary.
