Suzanne Morphew disappeared from her Colorado home on Mother's Day in 2020. Authorities reached the scene before her husband, Barry, finding her bike down a hill with no sign of Suzanne. As investigators unraveled the scene, collected evidence, and conducted interviews, the details in Barry's alibi fell apart. After Barry was charged with his wife's murder in 2021, the lead prosecutor's mishandling of the case led to the charges getting dismissed, and her disbarment. However, authorities didn't give up; in 2023 Suzanne Morphew's remains were found by mistake in an unrelated search for another missing woman. An autopsy found tranquilizer chemicals typically used on animals inside her bones. And according to investigators, the only private citizen in Colorado with access to that chemical was Barry Morphew. On June 18th, 2025, a grand jury indicted Barry Morphew on first-degree murder. In Part One we dive into the bodycam footage from the scene, a couple Youtubers' strange encounters with Barry, the thoughts of Suzanne's family members, an affair, and part of the 131 page indictment from 2021.[Spotify Ad at 00:21:56]
