27 May 2025

Description

Twitter @juangangel As they say... variety is the spice of life, and in this case, the result: sustainable production. In the canton of Nandayure, Costa Rica, Mr. Luis and his family's work revolves around dairy cattle production, integrally associated with sheep, pigs, and the care of the surrounding nature. Animal production is a broad field of knowledge that focuses on the breeding, feeding, multiplication, and improvement of domestic animals that are useful to humans. Animal production is a broad field of knowledge that aims to obtain their products economically and under appropriate hygienic and sanitary conditions. These products provide food, comfort, protection, aesthetic pleasure, experimental material, and, in short, progress in one way or another for society. Thus, the science of animal production studies the interactions of multiple areas of knowledge—anatomy, physiology, nutrition, economics, etc.—aimed at understanding and developing systems that generate animal products.
