Slasher Flick "The Night on Tempest Mountain" The Final Chapter: Roots of the Damned

31 May 2019

Description

Panic erupts as the survivors flee the resort’s parking lot, torn between escape and the terrifying truth that there may be no way off Tempest Mountain. The storm has swallowed the road. The walking trees are closing in. And the only lead they have is an old, half-mad journal pointing them toward the deadly heart of something ancient beneath the ruins at the mountain’s peak. Forced together by desperation, the group scrambles into a truck, only to find themselves hunted every step of the climb. A crash turns their escape into a sprint, and a frantic search for shelter leads them deep into the decaying tunnels under the ruined Martens mansion—where old bones, crawling roots, and echoing heartbeats hint that the horror here is older than the resort, older than the family that built it, and far from dormant. As fear and grief collide with bad decisions, old drama, and rising madness, the survivors must push deeper into the tunnels and face whatever sleeps beneath the mountain. But destroying evil always comes with a cost, and Tempest Mountain has claimed many lives before tonight. Some will run. Some will fight. And some will be swallowed by the dark beneath the roots. About the Chronicle Slasher Flick: The Night on Tempest Mountain is a horror role-playing chronicle that embraces everything you love about classic slasher films: larger-than-life characters, bad decisions in the dark, storm-lashed woods, and a relentless, unseen threat. Using the Slasher Flick rules, the story follows a cast of primary and secondary characters trapped at a remote mountain resort during its centennial celebration, where local legends about old murders and Tempest Mountain’s cursed woods refuse to stay in the past. Players juggle multiple characters, earn “genre points” by leaning into slasher tropes, and fight to survive as the body count rises. It’s bloody, chaotic, darkly funny, and built to feel like you’re watching a late-night VHS horror marathon—only this time, you’re the one trying not to die before the credits roll. 🗨️ Hop into our Discord!
