It supports healing and restoration of the body, while increasing mental clarity, ability to focus, and improving overall mental cognition.During yoga nidra, your mind experiences deeper states of relaxation, dropping into theta and delta states, while remaining alert and aware of the sound of my voice.The medicine of yoga nidra feels very relevant right now, as we near the end of a very heated summer. Using this practice to replenish your stores can be really beneficial. You'll need to set yourself up in a quiet space where you can lay comfortably on your back. After your session is complete, it can be helpful to take a little time afterwards (3-5min) to contemplate your experiencer, journaling if that feels supportive to you.This particular script is based on a practice in Tracee Stanley's book, Radiant Rest. I had the pleasure to meet and interview Tracee a few years back. She is an incredible human, guide and teacher. I highly recommend you check her book out if you are intrigued and want to learn more about the power of rest.
