Vidette alumnus Carl Hulse stopped by The Vidette Building to meet with students and to catch everyone up on his career since graduating from Illinois State University in 1976. Hulse is the chief Washington correspondent for The New York Times. He was scheduled to receive the Alumni Achievement Award on Thursday evening, prior to the announcement of the cancellation of all Founders Day events due to the approaching storm. He took a few minutes from his busy schedule Wednesday to chat with Vidette File, a periodic podcast featuring former Vidette staff members.
