Freya Sparks: The Curse of ‘I’ll Be Happy When’

Vigilants is a series of inspiring stories set in a world where the most popular sport is a super-human fighting competition called ‘The Global Vigilants League’. Originally this was going to be a set of audiobooks or short novels that I planned to sell, but decided to make them free on YouTube instead! This is the first episode about Freya Sparks and her difficulties with being deeply unhappy despite having so much external success.The opening few sentences are adapted from a journal entry I wrote about a decade ago when I was incredibly unhappy and didn’t know what I could do about it. I’m now an incredibly happy person and the things that helped me become that way will be written into the experiences of Freya and other characters in this series! One of my core life philosophies now is that happiness is a skill.
