So I feel like at this point, you have to die on the sword with Scott Wedgwood and hope your team does it.
But that's not to say he won't start Blackwood tomorrow.
Maybe he does.
I just don't know if it really makes a difference.
I mean, and, and, and it's not like he like adrenaline rush pushed through yesterday.
He was limping his way up and down the bench and on the ice.
Like you guys saw him.
That four-on-four play, he got the puck and had open ice and went to do the burst of speed, and the speed didn't burst.
I think he felt it right in that moment.
It is an absolute state of shock.
There's absolutely no other way to put it.
This is a really good team, built really well.
This was my question to Jared Bednar yesterday.
It just feels like
I don't know if stunned is the right word, and that's why Bednar didn't really agree with me, but it was like, no matter how the games have gone, games one, two, or three, the moment Vegas scores their first goal, the Avalanche are just in a state of shock, and the ice tilts completely in the other team's favor.
Game one was 0-0 for, I think, 36 minutes of regulation, and then Vegas scores one, quickly gets a second, comes out to start the third period, makes it 3-0.
Colorado leads one, nothing for a half a game.
