So what is an upgrade?
You know, given that Joe Sackick is in that role, I don't think he would be getting that anytime soon, unless Sackick chooses to step down or take an advisory role, but I don't think he's there right now.
So on that hand, it may, on one hand, it makes sense.
On the other hand, it's like, if I'm Chris McFarland, it's kind of a Denver university thing with David Carl.
I should probably see this through for another two or three years, you know, probably win another cup at some point.
And then take the president of hockey operations role on another team where you're probably, I mean, no disrespect to Nashville, you might get a better opportunity somewhere.
You might get something you like a little bit more and you might make way more money doing it.
It would just seem very,
strange to me to have Chris McFarland jump off the ship at this point after he worked so hard to help kind of like rebuild this team which you know generally for general managers uh you want to be the guy that leaves the team in a good position you don't want to leave when it's a sinking ship and it's like oh he made 15 you know 10 Holland moves and now he's moving on to somewhere else like you don't want to be that guy but at the same time it would just be strange timing
But going back to the very root of that question is he is a general manager.
And if somebody offers him a president of hockey operations role and a lot of money to do it, it's a very natural promotion.
So it wouldn't necessarily surprise me on that front, but it wouldn't for other reasons.
So we'll just have to wait and see how this goes.
Maybe he was hoping when to stay on the cup, ride high and kind of move on.
It just doesn't look like that's going to happen now.
So if I'm him, maybe I want to see this through, but,
Money talks and offers talk and promotions talk more than what I'm thinking.
Yeah, of course.
Thanks for having me on.
