Anyone who's attempted to trade or is in the field of trading knows that is extremely difficult, just like entrepreneurship and business and that type of thing.
you know, most people will struggle for at least three, four or five years before they really see, um, any type of consistency or success.
You know, that's a bit of a generalization, but you know, it's not far from the truth.
Um, so here I was, I was trying to trade, um,
was pretty frustrated with my lack of progress to be quite honest and I kind of had maybe I guess you could call it an epiphany one day and I was like I'm here trying to learn how to trade I want to be a successful trader yet I don't know any other traders so I always use the analogy that you know let's say you wanted to be a mechanic
You would hang around with people who talk about cars, who love cars, who work on cars and are probably mechanics themselves.
Here I was trying to be a trader, yet I didn't know a single trader, let alone a trader who had more knowledge and insight and could pass down some lessons.
Nothing major.
Like I don't have any like major failure story within trading yet.
Touch wood.
But I just want to understand volume before you do that.
Are we talking 10 grand or a hundred grand or a million or what?
I put $5,000 into a trading account and have been, I guess you could say actively trading that $5,000.
Well, I guess the movies definitely make it look a lot more glamorous than it really is.
So, if you speak to a professional trader, most of them will tell you that successful trading and profitable trading
approach, I have never really got into day trading myself too much.
I take more of a swing trading approach where I might buy a position, I may hold it for a few days to maybe even a couple of weeks.
So that doesn't take, once you're into a position, it doesn't take a lot of actual managing of that position.
But people, you know, those who are day trading, yes, they've
They do wake up every day and, you know, at their monitors from market open to market close and then probably a little bit before and after as well.
