Because at this point, um,
All we see online is the performative masculinity.
Yes, there are some great accounts online of real dads and real men doing really cool, great shit and posting awesome content.
I follow a lot of these great dads and great men and great leaders.
But what overtakes that is the performative masculinity.
That's what overtakes that is the performative masculinity that a lot of young men are getting attracted to.
And they think that's the blueprint for real success in this world, which it is not.
That's why it is performative.
It is the WWE version of masculinity.
And to point out the absurdity of the former.
while offering examples of the latter is really where we need to go, right?
Offering examples about how absurd the performative masculinity is while offering more examples of true masculinity, real masculinity.
And there are tons and tons of real men doing really good shit out in the world, and we need that to be our focus.
But if you spend 10 minutes on social media, you'll see the quote-unquote blueprint of masculinity.
But it's the performative masculinity.
It's the bullshit.
It's the fancy watch.
