Then everyone gets in that holding pen, there's chatter, and then everyone starts smashing the ceiling.
It's what happens.
I mean, I don't know how many times Wembley have replaced that metal ceiling.
It's right next to our five live commentary position.
We have a wonderful view of it right outside the window.
Atmosphere mics are always there and you pick up all sorts of things, but it feels like that is where the party starts.
That's the, I suppose that's the realization because you, you, you go through those 90 minutes, 120 minutes, whatever it might be.
you don't ever think about the outcome it is all about the process and just giving absolutely everything you can to the point that you don't really remember any of the game i remember watching the highlights of the wimbledon final back not that long ago and there's so much of it that you just don't remember um and it's it's mad because it's such a momentous day it's such a big part of your life and if you're lucky enough to do it as a footballer
to play at Wembley, to score at Wembley.
It's incredible.
But it is, like Tommy said, it is a blur.
It's really interesting, Lyle.
It's really interesting you say that because I'm with you, listen, I agree with you 100%.
I think what's crazy is, I don't know whether you did this, but the day before we played the final against Reading,
all them years ago now we actually went and did a bit I say a tour we sort of did you know where you go around Wembley have a little look and you sort of say oh yeah your family will be sat up there and that to me was like wow this is really happening but then when you get to the stadium the following day on the day of the game that all becomes like completely you just got you just shut it off
And you don't pay attention to anything.
I mean, I remember walking out, leading out the lads and going out.
