That's so true.
And there is an assumption.
And in reality, the posting a video is easy.
No one's denying that.
And that's so true that because everyone can do it, they can see or they feel they can understand, you know, it's just a video.
It doesn't matter.
Yeah, it's so hard.
But the reality is as well when you are โ
The influencer has an opportunity cost as well.
If she has previously been able to and she did actually end up getting people to pay her to do her makeup, she's losing that money that she's gotten that she has earned through having a platform and a following.
Now, I think the huge issue is that when people talk about the defensive influencers, they will say things like influencing isn't that hard.
Think about being a nurse or a doctor or a teacher, to which I say apps are
fucking that it's harder than like, no one is here going neurosurgeons versus influencers.
Like, like, but people act like it is, it is that.
I think the issue people have is not that influencers aren't doing work because I do think people or I hope that people do see that it is work to maintain an audience, to be the subject of media scrutiny, to be trolled, to be abused, to even deal with brands, to go back and forth on briefs.
That is work in and of itself.
That is a marketing and advertising.
You are an advertiser if you are an influencer when it comes down to it.
Even this podcast is an advertising medium.
Not in the same way as an influencer, but it is a product.
