Sadly, I think most of them are just trying to get rich.

And I've talked to plenty of them who were, or even people who worked for certain tech titans who were just working on products that they knew had no reason to even exist in the world other than to just get a few people rich.

Right, social media, I've had these discussions recently, similar discussions about AI that we have about social media.

There was a woman who came to one of my screenings who runs an organization

I wish I could remember the name now, but it's like sort of like Mothers Against Drunk Driving, but it's like Mothers Against Social Media.

So she came to my screening, loved the film, lovely person.

And I...

So I respect what her mission.

I have I have a son and, you know, I want the best for him.

But I also I'm wary about wholesale like wiping these these technologies off the face of the earth, because then I'm also always reminded of social media and I'm always reminded of the Arab Spring.

And we quickly forget that.

Yes, these things can cause.

problems and trauma on you know privileged kids in the first world but they can also completely change like the entire trajectory of a a country overseas

So in regards to AI, this is another thing that I that that I think I spoke about recently at a Q&A was I read this article about this this young female documentary filmmaker in China who was using AI to tell her stories.

About the government and about life there that she would know, never be able to tell without because for various reasons, obviously, because she'd be arrested or because of the government, but also because she didn't have the resources, a camera or anything to actually film.

So.

There will be, I think, benefits.

There will be interesting things that come out of this.

And again, I'm all for strong regulation, but I'm not for just like wholesale discounting of technology.
