Backstreet Boys left BMG in Munich, Germany, a record company, and signed with Jive.
And when that happened, that's when Lou and Johnny were like, hey, since the Backstreet Boys left them, we have another group.
Went and auditioned with them.
They saw it.
We signed with BMG and then started Europe because boy bands were popular at the time.
And right around that time in the States, it was more grunge.
It was more Nirvana.
