Hi, it's Adam here, and you're about to listen to a love and relationship hypnosis session where I was working with a client that had a longstanding family, but to some extent cultural belief that the women in their family were never going to have an easy time of it in relationships, that either relationships would end or there'd be a real struggle.
And part of this came from them seeing that in the women in their family and that this cultural narrative was used quite often to soften the sting of some kind of sad moment or heartbreak in a relationship.
They believed at some level there was a family curse that would impede their ability to find love.
They also had a prosthetic leg and they had a belief that for the men that they would want to be desired by, they would be put off by this prosthetic limb.
And therefore they felt that they needed to just focus on their career or other things because they
the kind of love that they would want was not on the cards, it wasn't on the table for them.
And what that can lead to is one of two things, either learned helplessness, you simply don't even try, or settling for something less than you are worthy of.
Now, these are two stories.
