In a moment, we're going to bring you this week's episode of The Big Story.
But first, I do want to encourage you, if you're enjoying the podcast, to please follow us using your favorite podcast software.
Also, I do want to encourage you to check out our other podcast, and today I'm calling out the Great Adventurers of Old Time Radio, which is nearing its 100th episode.
You can find it at greatadventurers.info.
But now, from November 29th, 1950, here is Killer with the Mind of a Little Boy.
Welcome back.
Well, now let me go ahead and we'll get the rest of our cast information.
Our hero, T.R.
Johnson, was played by John Sylvester.
Also in the cast were Jane Robin, Agnes Young, Amzie Strickland, Joan Shea,
Owen Jordan, Meryl Jones, and Les Damon.
Now, our story tonight was about an obsessed and stunted local man who was generally marked as a loser and got a date with a local woman named Blanche and murdered her and then went on a
big murder spree.
And all of that is correct, except the man was not local, the woman didn't agree to a date with him, and he didn't have creepy mommy issues.
But the woman's name was Blanche.
I mean, if you're going to say we changed the names, why did you leave the name of the victim the same?
But...
We do know the story upon which this was based.
Thanks once again to the ever-vigilant Dr. Joseph Webb writing on the stories behind the big story.
And the person who did this came to town using the name George Ruffledge.
