What Canopy is for stakers is very simply direct exposure to the applications they secure and the Canopy token itself.

So they kind of get the best of both worlds.

They get subsidized in the early days with our token.

But in the long run, assuming these applications have value,

They are directly aligned and directly exposed to the underlying assets of the chains they secure.

Yeah, we've got lots of expertize in understanding the context of other chains and interacting with them.

A lot of this was developed at our last stop of Pocket Network, where we were coordinating this public data.

And so we took a lot of those lessons and baked them into our Canopy ecosystem.

And so we've implemented what we call permissionless interoperability.

It's basically composability that you see in smart contracts, but expanded out for an L1 context.

And so you can understand what's going on by tapping into the data coming out of other chains, other applications, and react accordingly to that information.

So effectively, this gives you the ability to compose and not like fracture across the ecosystem because you can understand the context and you can react to what's going on very simply, just like you're in a shared security environment like Ethereum.

Yeah, I think for speed of deployment, there's an obvious sacrifice.

for decentralization out of the gate.

But our perspective on this is a little bit nuanced.

So if you want to deploy quickly, you probably won't have maximum decentralization, but that's okay in our opinion.

I think for us, for validators to want to secure your chain, to take a risk on you, to pay to run your software, to join your ecosystem,

You can have to prove to them that it's worth it.

And that creates maybe a little bit more of a centralized system at first, but it makes projects level up and accrue value to get to the next stage.

So the Canopy security system, yes, you can receive security immediately, but there's kind of like various scales of security as you move up and mature in the ecosystem.
