I do think there's an element to Nimmo where he had like plantar fasciitis really bad.
for like a year and i just think some of his defensive metrics and stuff is more so he's just like trying to stay out there and play rather than actually declining like i know how hard he works and what kind of machine he is so i mean yeah everybody declines to some extent but i think texas might actually end up with uh maybe the less declined player here but
If this allows the Mets to make another big move in the outfield, then I like it for the Mets too.
So that's kind of how I'm looking at it right now.
Just an intriguing move that maybe helps both sides, but we're going to have to wait and see.
Well, I think last year was so disappointing that I think there's probably a part of David's mentality going into this year of like, I'm doing this my way.
Like these weren't the players I picked.
I inherited a lot of these guys.
Let me implement the way that I think we should run this.

Like with the fan base, now that you have gone ahead and ripped the bandaid off and made these moves that frankly, the fans are torn up about whether they're the right moves or not.
Now you gotta, you gotta put up right now and you gotta find a way.
to make it work.
I know they signed Polanco.
That's a step, but they have a lot of holes to fill all of a sudden.
I'm not saying they're the right or the wrong moves necessarily if you want to reimagine the team, but it's really the follow-through of what you do from here on out that's going to make the difference.
You're losing a ton of power any way you slice it.
I do think that they expected that they were going to be able to bring Edwin back, Diaz back, and that's the one of the three.
That's
Really the most stunning one to me of all of them, because you can understand the reasons for Nimmo.
