But the reason was there was a six-day break for the Bulldogs going into next week.
If he had played, he would have played today at VFL.
That's a five-day break, and you probably can't come up first game

So they go into this game with a managed plan and yeah, it's, it's, it's interesting.
All these decisions you make from a club point of view, there's so much data and it's not, it's not a gut feel.
There's quite often, there's a lot of analytics behind it and there's reasoning behind it that, yeah, it reminded me not to just assume because that's a good reason to do it.
Are we worried about English?
It looks like he's a centimeter off missing five weeks with concussion, which I think it's unfair for me to say that.
It just feels that way that he gets a knock and he said, oh, please don't be in the protocols because he's so important to the Bulldogs.
When he's playing, they look such a different side.
I mean, their stats from last year, they were number one at everything around the clearance rate.
And they weren't fantastic at hit-outs, so that's not really their biggest strength.
But they've just dropped a little bit in that area this year.
