the problems and stuff like that.
And look, at the end of the day, it's about coming home.
So if the queues are too bad and you're waiting in it for hours, you know the chapter's running around, which is the unfortunate truth of it, really.
Just by the way.
Yeah, it's an interesting one.
Yeah, so the death zone is above 8,000 metres.
So I'm sure a lot of people know Everest is 8,880.
So it's well above the dead zone.
So the dead zone is basically once you're in it, your body can't sustain living anymore.
So it's basically eating itself alive.
So you want to just be in a dead zone for as little as possible.
So we're hoping to be in that dead zone for max 12, 14 hours.
And then once you're in it, it takes about nine hours in Camp 4, which is the start of
the dead zone up to the summit and then we'll go all the way back down to camp two so probably summer night it could be a 24 hour day but it'll be worth it in the end you don't want to sit in camp four because you never know you won't be sleeping you won't be eating you'll just feel horrible up there so yeah can't wait Yeah listen just not to bring it down but you were saying there was a bit of negativity around base camp and I'd say part of that was that two people have lost their lives this year so when you hear that news how does it affect you?
Yeah, look, the two people that lost their lives this year was natural causes.
So it didn't, it wasn't meant to do with the ice fall or anything like that.
But look, we're all well aware of the risks.
We come over and there is the risk there.
People do die on this mountain every year.
So you kind of have to be at peace with that and just have to be as careful as possible and know the risks.
